Short Stories

Things I'm actively working on??? Do not get used to it

I like to write short stories! The 1,000-5,000 word range is my sweet spot, so don't expect any long-term commitments. My main genre is speculative fiction, from which I reach out and grasp helplessly at other topics (usually involving lesbians) in order to piece together anything half-decent. Like I mentioned before, some of my stories are published in professional spaces (I am Stephen King by the way) so don't expect to see perfection. Expect to see cool stuff though?!?!

BONE EATER

Romance / Horror, ~4,000 words

Within a world of corpses and worms, the brooding Ossea's most-feared extinction is that of her love life.

My webcomic, BONE EATER, originally started off as the first short story I wrote for college workshop back in September 2023! It's certainly interesting to see how it evolved from this into what it eventually became. There's trigger warnings at the top, and personally, I think I go a bit overboard with the cursing. Aside from those things, though, I hope you enjoy this almost-unrecognizable prototype... because I sure don't! AAAGH I HATE READING MY CRINGE OLD STORIES

Wilting Roses

Romance / Comedy / maybe a bit of Horror, ~3,000 words

A relationship may be especially overwhelming if your girlfriend is a vampire.

My second short story after entering college (written November 2023), this one is a bit cleaner than BONE EATER. I enjoyed writing something sweet and standalone, and I think it's easier to digest even if it still isn't particularly great. I hope that I manage to tinge your heart with the blood-red prose of my youth (a whole year ago.)

j_mod_mystery

Detective, ~1,000 words

What could a geek be doing in D.C. all by himself?

I wrote this one for fun in September 2024! It's a cozy mystery heavily inspired by a true story, but I changed some stuff around 1) so it reads a bit more interesting, and 2) so I don't dox the bros. I wonder how big a niche there is for mystery story enjoyers who are also on gamertwt...

Chris Puzzle

Slice of life, ~300 words

My roommate's hair smells weird.

Something silly that happened between my roommate and I one day, which I wrote down for fun.
